From Nikinbah ride along the fence line beside the highway. Once up to Pigford lane, take care crossing this road as it can be busy and cars are trading at 80-100kph. Once on Pigford lane it is a easy ride to the start of the rail trail at the end of the houses."

It is a wide well maintained bitumen path that gradually heads out of town past the hospital and into open fields , ending just past Nikinbah. The trail can be followed a few kms further (would not come up on map) but this requires a short stint on the side of the highway, turning right into Pigford lane for a short distance and then left to follow the rail trail again on gravel tracks across some new trail bridges before stopping at a wide wet area.
